Immigration law

Immigration law will be applicable to you if you are not a Dutch citizen and wish to stay and work in the Netherlands.

We can assist you in the following areas of immigration law:

  • family reunification: we can assist foreign (foster)children who wish to join their parents in the Netherlands or a parent who wish to live with his child(ren) in the Netherlands. We can also assist you if you wish to invite your foreign partner or spouse to join you or if you wish to obtain a residence permit on the basis of continued residency after being in the possession of a residence permit on the basis of family reunification.
  • European immigration law: you are an EU citizen and wish to get registered in the Netherlands or you are a partner or relative of an EU citizen living in the Netherlands? European immigration law will be applicable to you.
  • foreign employees, self-employed persons or artists: you wish to hire a foreign employee and need a work permit or you wish to work as an artist or start a company in the Netherlands? For each category specific immigration policy will be applicable. We can advise you how to obtain a residence permit and when you also need a work permit.
  • highly- skilled employees: employees earning a certain amount of salary or PhD students. We can register your company at the Immigration- and Naturalization Service and be your legal representative to arrange the necessary applications.
  • tourist and business Visa. Obtaining Visa for the Netherlands for a non-European national can be present challenges. We are able to handle these applications and procedures on your behalf.
  • foreign students: students at University or HBO. Also after staying as a student in the Netherlands, your residency rights can be extended, for example as a highly- skilled employee. We can advise you how to obtain this kind of residence permit.
  • adoption: you have adopted or wish to adopt a foreign child and need assistance in how to obtain a entry clearance visa and residence permit for your child. We can assist you in the immigration and adoption procedure.
  • nationality and citizenship: we are able to assist you if you wish to become a Dutch citizen or if you are concerned you may lose Dutch citizenship. We can provide you with the right information and represent you in a procedure against the IND.
  • withdrawing your residency permit: you received a decision of the IND stating that your residence permit will be withdrawn because you left your partner or you have been convicted. We can lodge an objection and request for an interim measure at the Court on behalf of you to prevent to be expelled from the Netherlands.
  • detention of foreign nationals: we will also assist you when you are detained at a centre for illegal foreign nationals.
